General Questions

  • As of now, Apprese is focused on Michigan State University’s students. If you are an MSU undergraduate or graduate student, you’re welcomed to utilize our service.
  • We appreciate diversity, because both of us all come from foreign backgrounds. Therefore, we welcome students all of majors, minors, nationalities, races, genders, and many more.
  • In the upcoming future, we will expand our services to support students’ accessibilites and students of other schools, including colleges in the area and even high schools.

  • You can find us through the leaflets and posters that we will hang around campus at different colleges. On each poster, you can easily scan the QR codes and become part of the Apprese community!
  • Personally, you can also find us most of the time at the Broad College of Business, because we both study there.

Student Renters

  • We highly recommend you order the rental at least 2 days before your event, because the attire will be delivered to you 2 days before the event.
  • We understand that classes, assignments, or personal matters might inhibit your time from ordering early. However, we would really appreciate it if you could do so.

  • In this scenario, we will deliver the attire to you within 30 hours before your event. At the same time, to help us accommodate the “rush” shipping process, you will be required to pay an extra $5.
  • Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate this at this time. We still are an early-stage startup in the testing phase. However, with that being said, we will soon release our updated version that allows you to receive your attire faster and more conveniently.
  • To help you save your time, Apprese will be responsibile for the entire process of picking up, shipping, and returning.
  • However, you’re also welcomed to pick up and return the attire to our system on your own if you don’t want to pay for shipping fee.

  • Our shipping fee is $2, which includes both the shipping and returning process.
  • What makes our delivery process so convenient is that we are operating on campus. Therefore, before we deliver the attire to you, we will get in contact and notify you about the estimated time that the attire will arrive.
  • However, in case we don’t reach an agreement on the time, we will figure other methods and keep you updated.
  • Absolutely! You can rent up to 2 days, with the second day only half-priced of the first day.
  • For example, if the rental price for a suit is $40, you will pay $40 on the first day and $20 on the second day, totaling of $60.
  • We ensure that you can use the attire for different professional events, including interviews, career fairs, business meetings, ceremonies, and many more.
  • The purpose of the attire is dependent on our student owners’ preferences, because some owners might have limited purposes, while some might be more open and comfortable with other purposes, including party, fraternity meetups, and many more.

  • We trust our customers, and we also appreciate your honesty. With that being said, after the rental, we kindly ask you to check if there is any damage, from as small as stains, ink, food, etc., to as large as torn, burnt, or completely damaged.

  • We will work closely with you and our student owner to handle the situation, as we want to ensure convenience and comfort for both sides.

Student Owners

  • For now, since we are focused on professional attire, everything related to professional attire is available to be rented out. This includes, but not limited to, suits, jackets, blazers, button-down shirts, pants, dresses, ties, and many more.
  • We will have more options in the upcoming future.

  • For this current testing period, every attire listed will equally have a rental price of $40.
  • In the future, you can set price in accordance with your preference and needs. At Apprese, our algorithm will provide you with a recommended rental price based on your attire’s brand, purchasing price, tag, quality, and many other criteria.

  • To help you save time, we cover the entire process of delivery and return. We will be in contact with you about when we can pick up your attire.
  • However, you also are welcomed to ship the attire to our student renters on your own if you don’t want to spend money on shipping costs.

  • Our shipping fee is $2, which includes both the shipping and returning process.
  • Yes. Your attire will be delivered and returned in high-quality cover or box to ensure protection and quality of your attire.
  • Please expect that your attire will be away for between 3-5 days, including 2 days before your student renter’s event, at most 2 days of using, and 1 day of cleaning.
  • We will clean depending on your preferences, which includes dry clean, steam clean, or no clean.
    • Dry clean: Usually more expensive, only used when the attire is heavily soaked, stained, or dirty. For this cleaning method, you will expect to receive a lower percentage return – 70%
    • Steam clean: Can be used most of the time, but only when the attire is not too heavily stained or dirty. This method will return you with a higher percentage – 80%
    • No clean: We will return the attire to you right after the rental. This method will return you with the highest percentage – 85%

  • After the rental, we kindly ask our student renters to check if there is any damage, from as small as stains, ink, food, etc., to as large as torn, burnt, or completely damaged.

Use the pre-paid return label provided. Pack the dress in the original packaging and drop it off at the specified location. No need to worry about cleaning—we’ll handle that for you.

Note:

In the case of a misplaced or damaged dress after it has been in the customer’s possession, the customer will be responsible for covering the replacement or repair expenses. We advise handling the dress with care and returning it promptly after use to avoid such situations.
