How does it work

Rent Your Perfect Dress in a Few Simple Steps with Apprese

At Apprese, we are the middle-man service connecting our student renters and student owners, ensuring that students can help and benefit each other!

  • Because this is the testing version, every attire posted by the student owners will have the rental fee of $40.
    • We apologize if this causes inconvenience. However, we are working on updating that part of our business.
  • For every rental, our student owners will receive between 70% and 80% of the rental fee.
    • For example, if the student renter pays $40 for the item, we will give our student renters 70-80% of the fee, which is $28-$32.
    • Shipping fee and additional fees might be incurred and requested to help us ensure a seamless experience for you. However, you are also welcomed to deliver/pickup/return the attire on your own if you don’t want to spend money on shipping.
  • During the rental process, if you have any concerns, requests, or report you want to make, please report to the form here or scroll down to the bottom and find the Report Form.

  1. Simply fill out the form attached above, or here, with your personal information and intended dates and purpose of your rental.
  2. Select the available attire in the form.
  3. Once you confirm the rental of the attire, congratulations!
  4. We kindly ask you to pay the full amount after confirming the rental. A non-refundable deposit* of $5 has already been included in the price.
    • *In case there is some trouble with our service regarding the rental process, we will refund 100% of the fee to you, including the deposit.
    • *In case you cancel the rental, we will refund the full refundable amount to you.
  5. You will receive the attire 2 days before your intended day of events.
    • If you need the attire just 2 days before your events, we will ensure that you will receive your item within only 30 hours from the moment you order the rental.
  6. Throughout the entire process, we will keep you posted with important notice, as we want to ensure you will enjoy the best service possible.

  2. You will receive a notification once a student renter chooses your item.
  3. We will communicate with you for details on how and when we can pick up your item. You will not have to worry about shipping!
    • We kindly ask you to hand in and rent out clean attire so that both you and our student renters will feel the most comfortable.
  4. Once the attire is used, Apprese will clean it in accordance with your preferences from the form.
  5. We will also handle the returning process, and you will receive the full rental amount via Venmo once your attire is fully returned (which is 70-85% of the total rental fee, depending on your preferred cleaning method).
    • Dry cleaning: 70% of the rental fee
    • Steam cleaning: 80% of the rental fee
    • No cleaning: 85% of the rental fee

Indulge in the art of selection. Handpick your dress, selecting your size and desired customizations. Ensure perfection by reviewing dress details before booking, verifying rental period and availability.

3. Checkout Securely

Seal the deal swiftly and securely. Head to checkout, input your shipping details, and select your rental duration. Make a secure payment, then await a confirmation email detailing your order.

4. Receive & Enjoy

Your dress will arrive professionally cleaned and ready to wear. Enjoy your event in style, knowing you’ve chosen an affordable and sustainable fashion option

5. Return

Use the pre-paid return label provided. Pack the dress in the original packaging and drop it off at the specified location. No need to worry about cleaning—we’ll handle that for you.

Note:

In the case of a misplaced or damaged dress after it has been in the customer’s possession, the customer will be responsible for covering the replacement or repair expenses. We advise handling the dress with care and returning it promptly after use to avoid such situations.
